Aim/Purpose: This study focused on advancing understanding of individual variations in doctoral students’ interest their studies and how they related to experiences burnout drop-out intentions Denmark Finland. Background: Ph.D. interest, burnout, dropout among Finnish Danish students have not been researched before. Research with a person-centred approach exploring undertaking two comparable but distinct socio-cultural contexts is limited. Methodology: uses exploratory factor analysis, K-means cluster analyses combination Pairwise comparisons, ANOVA, Chi-square test. A total 365 social sciences humanities disciplines Finland responded Cross-Cultural Doctoral Experience Survey. Contribution: contributes variation across by identifying four personal profiles.
